BPW AFTERMARKET SALES REPRESENTATIVE REQUIRED.

 

Job Title: BPW Aftermarket Sales Representative

Department: Aftermarket

Reports to: Aftermarket Team Leader

Location: Leicester, head office

 

OVERVIEW:

The Aftermarket Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring that orders are processed correctly and on time to distributors. The representative must also meet customer expectations and standards with technical identification of spare parts and an understanding of technical terminology. The role will involve processing orders received by email and clarifying queries from the distributor. The Aftermarket Sales Representative will work within the Aftermarket team and provide support and assistance to the Aftermarket Team Leader.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • •       Ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.

    •       To liaise with distributors over the phone answering and clarifying queries, identifying parts through technical drawings, and assisting with fitment queries with high levels of accuracy and technical knowledge.

    •       To develop and maintain high standards of customer service.

    •       Responsible for receiving and identifying stock.

    •       To correctly locate items in the warehouse on a stock management system.

    •       To ensure accurate identification of customers' needs by means of extranet portal and parts catalogues.

    •       To conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy

    •       Maintain the housekeeping standards within the team in a clean and organised work environment.

    •       Provide support and assistance to the Aftermarket Team Leader

    •       To comply with and maintain company policies, standards and procedures relating to quality and customer care within your department.

    •       Be responsible for personal health and safety and ensure company policies are adhered to.

    •       Handle additional project work alongside the daily role requirements.

 

SKILLS:

  • •       Should have strong communication skills, oral and written, as the job requires regular interaction with customers and suppliers.

    •       Able to identify all customer needs both external and internal through the use of computerised stock control and electronic catalogues.

    •       Must possess good MS Word and Excel skills.

    •       Must be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual.

    •       Have 2 years plus experience in a customer service/internal sales role.

    •       Experience in the automotive parts industry.

    •       Ability to analyse data.

AFTERSALES & MAINTENANCE NETWORK - NORTH AND SOUTH REPRESENTATIVES REQUIRED.

 

Job Title: Aftersales and Maintenance Network Representative

Role Scope: National

Location: Home based with travel

 

Job Function:

  • Ensure that there is a reliable transparent network of BPW  aftermarket distributors and maintenance providers for the vehicle parque on BPW group products.
  • Support this network so that they can source required parts competitively and uphold required maintenance regimes to a high standard.
  • To grow and develop the complete BPW OE product profile for each customer and support the growth of the OE brand as the primary product.
  • Increase pull-through of BPW genuine spare parts and technician training.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure fleet operators have a clear and transparent aftermarket and maintenance provider structure.
  • Act as liaison between BPW maintenance network and distributors to develop new value stream opportunities for both.
  • Promote and expand the coverage of BPW-approved trained technicians within the market.
  • Qualification and recognition of workshops meeting the approved standards.
  • To build strong relationships at all levels with fleet customers, workshops and parts distributors, including service mechanics, workshop managers, fleet engineers, fleet managers, purchase agents and fleet owners.
  • To inform, advise, train and support BPW users about the company’s product offerings.
  • To secure customer commitment in specifying the company’s products and services.
  • To consistently provide first-class customer service.
  • To communicate customer perceptions and objectives within the company, to influence company strategies.
  • To monitor and report activities within the market relevant to the company’s operations.
  • To attend trade evenings and trade shows.

 

Other responsibilities:

  • Ensure there is a structured itinerary and visit plan for the approved distribution and maintenance network.
  • Supporting workshops in the work processes and organisation to achieve required Maintenance standards.
  • Support approved workshops in developing 3rd party local and national maintenance contracts.
  • Build and maintain a database of maintenance providers by key fleets, identifying the category of provider (truck dealer, independent national network, local providers, mobile vendors …) and key elements of the size of the provider (technicians/ workshop bays..), and a database of distributor providers by key fleets, fleet size
  • Always adhere to the company’s health and safety policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing material and events.
  • Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden the Company’s offerings.

 

Candidate profile:

  • Ability to operate and build relationships at all levels.
  • A background of working in a customer-facing role within the Commercial vehicle industry, 
  • Experience with fleet operators, CV workshops and parts distributors.
  • A self-motivator who is keen to drive both their career and the business forward.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and generally IT savvy.
  • Nights out will be required.
