Flange Mounted

Equipped with flat cam and wing cam brakes, these axles provide optimal deceleration support and are individually designed for use at speeds of 65 km/h according to vehicle type and area of operation. Static axle loads of between 1,000 to 16,000 kg, coupled with a special camshaft bearing, make BPW braked axles an important factor towards even smoother, problem free operation. The brake camshaft seat and all brake cylinder brackets are tailored to each individual vehicle.

Brake Axles

Braked axle with one-piece hub and drum are particularly suited to light agricultural vehicles. Fitted with flat cams and more basic brake levers, these axles incorporate all of BPW’s quality standards whilst offering unrivalled cost-effectiveness.

Self Steer Axle

Designed for speeds of up to 65 km/h, the self steering axle makes for reduced stress on road surfaces, tyres and vehicles. It ensures secure straight-ahead travel and quick steering response when travelling through bends. Their solid and hollow axle beams easily handle axle loads of 7,000 to 16,000 kg. Special features include a patented thrust bearing, flat cam and wing cam brakes as well as welded brackets optimally tailored to the brake cylinders. There is one further feature, namely the optional power steered facility with hydraulic cylinders.

Trailer axles

These solid and hollow axle beams with 50 -150 mm axle beam cross section can handle static axle loads of between 1,000 and 16,000 kg. High quality reinforced bearings of Western European manufacture are particularly durable and ensure the greatest possible operational reliability.
