BPW has launched its new trailer disc brake, ECO Disc.

How is it different to those currently on the market? Disc brake calipers have previously been derived from the truck disc brake, however BPW’s ECO Disc is uncompromisingly designed to meet the requirements of the trailer.

In addition to being more service-friendly, the compact design of the ECO Disc has enabled weight savings amounting to more than ten kilograms per axle, which makes this new development a milestone in BPW running gear technology.

BPW started producing its own disc brake in the early nineties. Since then the Company has been significantly involved in the development of the caliper and the brake application technology. ECO Disc is the next logical step from an evolutionary point of view. Today the entire BPW ECO Disc is “Made by BPW”.

In order to ensure that the new trailer disc brake meets BPW’s high quality standards it has been subjected to BPW’s own road testing and thoroughly put through its paces in extremely demanding field trials - the Arctic Circle and the Australian outback being two of the trial locations.

ECO Disc is available in three brake sizes - the TSB 3709 and TSB 4309 for 9t axle loads and the TSB 4312 for a 12t axle load.
