BPW has launched its own aluminium wheel, ECO Wheel. It has been developed and produced in partnership with OTTO FUCHS KG*, a company long established in the hand and die-forging sector and known above all for the iconic Fuchs wheel developed for Porsche in the 1960s.

As with all BPW equipment the very highest levels of quality and cost effectiveness have been the twin drivers of the development of the ECO Wheel. Manufactured in Germany, this robust, forged aluminium wheel, compared to a steel wheel, is around 50% lighter. For a tri-axle trailer this leads to a weight saving of around 120 kgs.

ECO Wheel, in all standard sizes, is available with either a brushed or polished finish and requires no further surface treatment. The wheel is consequently easy to clean and its gleaming appearance continues for a very long time.





* OTTO FUCHS KG The forged product company of OTTO FUCHS KG produces extruded products, forgings and ring-rolled products made of aluminium, magnesium, titanium and nickel alloys for the aerospace, automotive and construction industries as well as for general engineering applications. Some 50 years ago OTTO FUCHS developed for Porsche the first forged light metal wheel for assembly line production - the legendary Porsche winged wheel.
