Standard roller bearings, thrust washer, sealing ring and axle nut combine with the hub to form a unit which does not need to be disassembled in order to be dismounted.
The axle nut is joined to the hub by a wide collar; this means that the nut acts as a puller whilst it is being undone. Benefits include reduced maintenance time, easy inspection and low maintenance.
With all ECO hub systems, no bearing free play is required. A bearing pre-load must be set. With the ECOPlus system the spindle nut is fitted with an integrated torque limiter. A simple but ingenious design, the nut slips as soon as the required pre-set torque is achieved, eliminating the potential to under or over-tighten the hub unit.
