As a further service to the growing number of trailer operators specifying our running gear, we have launched ‘BPW Assist’, a comprehensive breakdown assistance service. Operated in conjunction with Scania Assistance, members of BPW Assist will have access to a rapid response breakdown service anywhere in Europe. Membership of the scheme is free, but anyone wishing to take advantage of this service must register with BPW in advance. Payment is only required when a member calls for assistance. All members will be given a dedicated ‘hotline’ number and once a call is initiated BPW trained breakdown technicians will be despatched to the scene. Both driver and operator will be given regular updates until the problem is fixed. Once the trailer is back on the road, the operator will be provided with a detailed report.
